Job Brick Wall Newsletter

If your job search has hit a brick wall, my free newsletter will give you some fresh ideas and renewed hope. We definitely live in challenging times. This recession has touched just about everyone. I network with a lot of people each week. Believe me, even the best and brightest have in some way been impacted. We all handle stress, disappointment, and uncertainty differently. But, it still hurts. Sometimes it hurts so much, we think there is no way out. One of the greatest trials of my life came when I lost my job. Up until that fateful day, I had never been unemployed. No problem, I thought, I should be back in the saddle in a couple of weeks. Seven months later I was beyond desperate. I burned through all my savings and was dipping into my retirement account to make ends meet. Along the way I found out who my true friends were. I soon realized...no one was coming to rescue me. When I finally got back on my feet (and you will too!), I vowed I would do whatever I could to relieve the pain of others struggling with employment hassles and roadblocks. And, I'm not just talking about surviving unemployment...although I do want to talk about this a lot. I've worked for my fair share of micro-managers, mentally deranged bosses, and companies who thought I was their indentured servant. When you're trapped in one of these worlds you're just as miserable as someone who is unemployed. Whatever your employment dilemma, when nothing seems to be working, you need something external to give you a jump start.
My newsletter Job Brick Wall will be your jumper cables to help get you down the road again...cruise control on, top down, wind blowing through your hair, your best song driving you on.

I welcome your input about any topic you would like me to cover. Unfortunately I'm limited as to what I can cover and I won't be able to respond personally to all of you...although I would like to. I'll do my best to provide you with quality, relevant content. Here are some of the topics I thought may be of interest to you: - I can't stand my job. Should I quit and hunt for a job full time?
- Unemployment self confidence. How can I get it back?
- I was fired. What do I tell them in a job interview?
- No matter what I do, I can't seem to get an interview.
- Why don't companies call me back or give me feedback?
- I'm 58 years old and out of work. How can I compete with a younger candidate?
- Interview mistakes.
- How to handle job interview rejection.
- I've been out of work for almost a year. I'm ready to give up. What else can I do? I'm hanging on by a thread.
Keep your chin up. Let's tackle these challenges together. I'm optimistic about the future. Mike FYI...You can enjoy a few of my back issues here.
